Hooray for Crochetville!

In an effort to offset some of the cost of keeping href="http://www.crochetville.org/">Crochetville running, Elizabeth
(of Three Olives
and Some Yarn
) and Donna (Yarn
) organized a silent auction.

Members href="http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=14490">donated
items from yarn to books to wooden hooks to crocheted
monkeys. I donated two skeins of sock yarn and a starter spinning kit –
a spindle, some roving, and the Spin It! book. href="http://www.livejournal.com/~c_treasures/">Diamond won the
spinning kit and href="http://booksandhooks.blogspot.com/">Faithdotcalm won the sock

This is what I won! Crocheted hot pads by href="http://peskypixie.blogspot.com/">Becks (who does really
awesome HP figures — check them out!). These are gorgeous hot pads, and
I love them! They’re vibrant and I love the pattern! Plus, now I
understand better how they are made, so I might make some of my own…

The silent auction was a real success, I think. I’m very pleased that
the items I donated were bid on, that I won something I love, and – most
of all – that we all came together to help support href="http://www.crochetville.org/">Crochetville. Hooray!
