Happy September

This is going to be a very busy month. I am looking forward to it [being over]. But I thought I’d sneak in a snippet of a project before I likely disappear for a while.

I really love knitting with Berroco Comfort. I know some people dislike it (ahem– E!), but it is so soft and non-squeaky. I think it is going to be my go-to yarn for baby and kid knits from now on. It’s lightweight, shows cables beautifully (see above), and it is machine washable and dryable! It also has great yardage. It is a bit splitty and seems to pill a slight bit, but nothing too difficult to deal with. I really like it.

I also really like this pattern though the finishing is giving me a fit. How many times will I redo the collar ribbing? How long will it take me to seam the lap shoulders?

Either way, it’s a super cute sweater that I can’t wait to ship off to a friend’s super cute little boy!

I haven’t had a chance yet to use Comfort and haven’t heard anything bad or good about it. Next time I’m in my LYS I should pick up a skein just to test it. It looks like a nice knit. I love the Get Ziggy pattern. Yours is very cute!
