Bandwagon Beret

I finally finished this beret on Boxing Day.

It’s cute.

I struggled with some very poor stranded knitting on my part and a mental inability to read charts through the cross-country move, though, so it took a really long time to finish. Also, one of the balls of yarn had been wound over a year ago, so it was a little frustrating to knit with.

The quick facts — [my ravelry notes]

Selbu Modern, designed by Kate Gagnon of Zeitgeist Yarns [ravel it!]

Koigu Premium Merino in maroon and grey, coincidentally puchased at Weaving Works in Seattle years ago. I don’t have my scale but I did not use a full 50g hank of either color.

It’s a cute, well-written pattern. The chart isn’t hard, unless you’re also coordinating listing your house for sale, moving cross-country, and juggling programming deadlines at work.

Love this so much Jess! Though I didn’t realize it was a “bandwagon” type project? Has it gone viral yet? ;o) That first Turn A Square I did was almost a beret by mistake. It’s gone now. :o)
