2007 Sweaters in Review

I’m pretty sure I am not going to finish another sweater before the end of the year and as I am going to be out of town and in fact in another country, I am working the publish-later trick. Tricksy, that’s me!

You’d never guess it, but I managed to finish 12 sweaters this year. Six adult sized, six baby sized.

Four adult sweaters for me, two for family. DH has been getting a lot of use out of his sweater, and I have been wearing my Aftur pullover (which has yet to receive a wrap-up post here!) and Manos cardigan often.

Four sweaters for my niece, two for friends. The blue seed-stitch hoody has not been mailed to the friend. I fear it is too small now! Babies do not mix with slacker girls!

I also started seven additional sweaters this year that I have not finished. How many will be finished eventually? At least two, but hopefully five.

I hope to finish Celtic Dreams soon (the orange cabled top). The corset top is at the bust portion and I should be able to finish it without too much effort (red top). The dog yoke baby sweater is one I have frogged, redesigned, and hope to finish in 2008. The other four sweaters are questionable.

Not a bad year for sweaters! I wish I were more disciplined sometimes — my backlog of projects is bit overwhelming at times. I’d like to say I will work on that for 2008, but I simply know that won’t happen. I’ll be content to get some handle on it in 2008.

Happy New Year Jess! Your sweaters look fabulous. I’m hoping like crazy to knock out a sweater or two myself in 2008. (Heh – typed 2009, hopefully that was just a typo.)

Wow, that’s a lot of sweaters! I’ve been working on (and avoiding) just one for over a year now. :P However, it’s *nearly* done, so I expect to whip up two in short succession now. :)
