Sleeve Remedy

Despite the fact that I have a gorgeous Celtic Dreams sweater missing one and a half sleeves, I somehow managed to knit not one but TWO sleeves for a brand new sweater in TWO days.

Aftur Sleeves

I’ve been sick with a flu-like-thing for about a week now. I mostly feel lethargic and braindead, so sitting on the couch knitting simple stockinette in the round has been the perfect medicine. The past few days I have felt fine in the morning only to topple back into the land of the sick in the afternoon. Today I toppled, but I still have enough energy to blog (but not reply to my email — hopefully tomorrow — I owe many of you an email!).

Aftur is from Lopi 25. I’m changing up the colors some but otherwise sticking to the pattern. I’m enjoying the knit so much that I am considering knitting a version as a holiday gift for someone special! We shall see (I will not go overboard with handmade holiday gifts, I will not go overboard with handmade holiday gifts, I will not…).

LOL – I will not go overboard with handmade holiday gifts either… oops… too late. ;o)

The sleeves look lovely, hope you get to feeling better soon.

Isn’t it so hard not to go overboard? :) The visions of what you can do and the reality of what the hands can produce before the big day can be very different.

Hope you are feeling much better soon.

Those colors are so delicate and pretty. Just lovely. I can’t wait to see sweater action pics. I hope you get well soon.
