Monogamous
Project monogamy and not much knitting time makes for not much of interest to blog!
At least when the project is a 50″ mostly stockinette sweater for the lovely DH.
[I'm very much enjoying knitting it, but there's uh, not much of interest to see just yet. Maybe when I get to the yoke and join the sleeves in.]
When this happens, thoughts turn to choosing the next sweater project, of course. Top of the list right now?
Véronik Avery’s Military Cardi from Knitting Classic Style.

Claw likes the Military Cardi from Knitting Classic Style, too
The problem? Nothing appropriate in stash, unless I can make Tahki Donegal Tweed work (unlikely).
Knitting Classic Style is an absolutely fantastic book. You can browse Véronik’s pictures from the book on ravelry or in Véronik’s flickr set. The schematics are great, there are plenty of detail pictures, the range in pattern sizes are good, the book doesn’t waste space on intro-to-knitting steps, and there are 35 patterns in it. It’s hardback and well worth it.
Plus she mentions hockey (a mention of Plante and The Hockey Sweater story in the Montréal tuque writeup) and ice skating in the book which tickles my other hobby bones and makes me smile!
It’s still in the 90°Fs here, but fall is coming. I can feel it.
Fall? Seriously? WHERE?!! I’m SO ready!
Fall has no choice but to come soon! I’m anxiously awaiting! That book is wonderful – I got it out of the library and she has such a great style!
i really like that sweater. veronik’s book is on my wishlist–it’s fabulous. i hope to get it for xmas or some such thing.
I’m working on Cobblestone for my DH too. Hope to have the body completed soon.
I’ve been thinking about getting that Veronik Avery book. Good to hear your positive comments.
Love your kitty. I like the name Claw. I have a bowtie by the name of Pickles. Damn cat is crazy! Runs around the house at 2 am singing to balls of yarn and then proceeds to pack them around and she will sit on them as well. The only thing we can come up with is that she thinks they are her kittens and yet this cat has never had a litter of kittens. Go figure! Does Claw run amok?
