Rovaniemi Mittens

This week a number of people have been recounting the Madrona Fiber Arts Festival — I love reading about class and festival experiences! [and why is it that I moved away from Seattle just before I got into knitting and spinning?! At least I have MDS+W within an hour.]

Vanessa (Spinning My Life Away) posted about Susanna’s Rovaniemi Mittens class first.

I was overwhelmed with the colors Vanessa picked, the look (geometric, E), the technique. I kept returning to look at the pictures!

Then both the Yarn Harlot and Teyani (The Intrepid Fiberwizard) both also posted about the class.

One of my goals this year is to take a class — however I don’t see that Susanna is holding this class again yet. Hopefully soon and nearby. I must learn this technique! MUST.

I want to learn how to make those, too! That’s probably one of the neatest techniques I’ve seen recently.
