Yarn Diet Progress

Despite temptations of href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ROWANSPUN-Aran-knitting-yarn-Heath_W0QQitemZ8260601889QQcategoryZ36599QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem">rowanspun
aran on ebay, pattern books at
Borders, and gorgeous sock yarns at href="http://www.bluemoonfiberarts.com/">Blue Moon Fiber Arts and href="http://www.sweetgeorgiayarns.com/">Sweet Georgia Yarns, I have
managed to only order sock yarn for my Sockapaloooza pal (allowable by
my yarn diet rules and regulations).

As far as actually working through the stash goes, I have two sweaters
on the needles right now (Rogue in Peace Fleece, still just before the
front/back split; ribby top of my own creation in TLC Cotton Plus, just
before the sleeve attachment and raglan decreases), and four socks
without mates.

I am focusing on the ribby top right now because it is relatively
mindless knitting. However, I now need US7 dpns to make the sleeves,
and I don’t have US7 dpns.

My yarn diet allows me to purchase needles at the time I need them,
so I will be making a trip to AC Moore either today or tomorrow to look
for 4.5mm needles. This is a little scary because AC Moore has decent
yarn, including href="http://noricum.blogspot.com/2006/02/leaf-emerges.html">the
gorgeous Araucania Nature Wool A is using in her Olympic sweater
(stop by to cheer her on!). Can I resist?

In 9 days, I will be heading to Seattle to visit href="http://www.pokingmyeyesout.com/">E at Poking My Eyes Out and
finish up our super secret knitting project. Before I leave, I must have
my list of yarns and patterns to check out. My theme right now is
spring/summer yarns and patterns. So far on the list of yarns to pet: Dale
Svale, CEY Bamboo, Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece, RYC Natural Silk Aran, GGH
Samoa, and Artful Yarns Olympic.

I really need a vacation and I always have a good time with E+G+W+K, so
it should be fun!

gone. DH doesn't like Claw. Claw doesn't like DH. Er. This might be
