Ooh La La

I could not hold off any longer. I went home for lunch today and decided to wind the hank of Peace Fleece (Lena’s Meadow, but my hank has a lot of blue in the base color). After winding the yarn, eating lunch, and taking care of the dogs, I had some extra time, so I decided to actually start the beret! Knitting on my lunch break? Priceless.

beret beginnings
not so red, but definitely tweedy
[yes, yes, evil cameraphone picture.]

I am not as happy with this colorway of Peace Fleece as I thought I was. Still, a beret! How cute. This seems like a great way to use up some of my lone skeins of worsted weight yarn (and my Rogue leftovers). If this pattern is quick enough and cute enough, it may outweigh my problems with “making the same thing twice.”

[of course, the PF is a little scratchy, but I think it will be okay.]
