Happy Birthday MiL!
Today is my MiL’s birthday. She mentioned offhand a while back that she would like a pair of handknit socks to wear around the house. I happened to have one hank of some koigu that fit her color palette, and you know, it’s my MiL! Koigu is the perfect choice for the important people in our life, you know? Everyone needs some Koigu in their life!
I wrapped the socks in some tissue paper before heading over to her house today but I could not find any ribbon. I improvised — I grabbed a D crochet hook and some scrap yarn (from socks I made one of my sisters- Lorna Laces Bittersweet), and crocheted a ribbon. At one end I created a loop to attach the tag to; at the other end I crocheted a flower. It made a very neat ribbon on the top of the gift, with the flower and tag attached together. It turned out exactly as I envisioned it!

For a refresher on what the socks look like (I posted about them when I finished them):

Hooray, another handknit gifted to a happy recipient! I love making things for people.
Very nice. The flower adds a special touch.
Great ribbon & flower!
