Fun Mail

After a productive day at work followed by a trip to the grocery store, there’s nothing I like more than coming home to a fun package.
I opened up the puffy envelope and peered inside:
package from e

It’s a package from E (of PokingMyEyesOut)!

Inside was a pair of Clover bamboos in US2 that I lent her so she could start her first Jaywalker and a handknit Soleil, wrapped in cute star tissue paper!

soleil from e

E had a … bad experience with gauge on Soleil and her version ended up too large. Rather than frog Soleil and reknit it, she decided to mail it to me!

I tried it on almost immediately after I put away the groceries. As I walked back to the living room, DH walked in the front door and gave Soleil the husbandly more-than-a-nod of approval. I guess the plunging neckline and yarnover holes at the hem are acceptable (HA).

Thanks, E! I love it — but I’m sorry it didn’t work out for you! [and hey, that's one less pattern I have to knit... ]
