FO: It’s a Wee Bit Garish

I finished another shawl-thing!

It’s a Stephen West design, Herbivore (ravelry). I think I’ve discovered the trick to shawl finishing for me — easy patterns that I don’t need to refer to the pattern for. Mindless knitting and pretty yarn.

it’s a good size

I knit it a bit larger than the pattern specifies because I wanted to use up the entire 150g hank of Wollmeise — I would weigh the remaining yarn, knit a row, weigh the remaining yarn again and extrapolate how many more repeats I could knit. It worked out well — I had a mere 4g left at the end — not enough for another row!

hi there!

Six months of off-and-on knitting, my first hank of Wollmeise, a rather garish colorway. A finished project! Woo hoo!

It’s gorgeous. GOR-GE-OUS. Bigger is definitely better in this case :D

I agree – bigger is better when it comes to herbivore. I love the color too. Will be perfect for those gray, rainy PNW winters. :)
