FO: Botanic

A few months ago I ordered some madelinetosh Tosh DK from Little Knits in two colors: warm maize and dahlia. I knit Ysolda’s Snapdragon Tam with the yellow back in June, but I still had leftovers. I planned to use the leftovers with the dahlia, but wasn’t sure on what.

Since I’m on a westknits kick, I ended up choosing Botanic Hat [ravelry].

the wrong side– I like it better

Botanic is a reversible hat, but be careful how you carry your yarn up the edge if you (like me) prefer the ‘wrong side’ as the right side.

the right side

The pattern and the yarn are both lovely and … well, I was going to give this hat away but now I think I might keep it. My ravelry project page is here.

I’m actually not feeling much into crafting the past week or two. I’ve been reading a lot.

And there’s a new hobby (or rather, a resurrected hobby) the yarn-playing has to contend with now:

two hobbies
library books

I’m fairly sure they can coexist — as long as I keep the water away from the yarn.

my old roomie is really into her aquarium- hers is saltwater though. Though I think her boyfriend may have started a freshwater one just for plants…

ooh, ooh. I want to hear about your aquariums! :)

I agree. The wrong side is the right side in this case.

    Lovely hat!

I’ve always wanted a good sized aquarium but always seem to be lacking in space. Have fun!
