After modeling my friend's close fitting chemo-hat I realized that with my curly hair I really need a beret. Otherwise I get a flat head on top and clowny curls sticking out under the hat. Straighter hair, as you've shown, seems to look good with all sorts of hats. I'll have to give this pattern a try... Looks great!
